Sandra had a great idea last fall about what to get her mother for Christmas: a sketched montage of some of the puppies she had raised over the years. Sandra covertly collected some old photos from the fam and played art director. And for my part, bringing these little guys to life with colored pencils was just plain fun!

When Sandra’s mom opened the framed sketch and recognized her old buddies, she laughed… and cried.
