I’ve lived in a lot of places in my life but this is the house I grew up in.

It’s not just that I’m a fan. It’s more than that.

Let me explain. When my dad was a kid growing up in Pittsburgh, he played catch in the street with the aging Honus Wagner. When I was a kid, he referred to the local players by their first names: Duke, Pee Wee, Campy, Sandy, Dusty, and so on. When it’s like that, you don’t go to games , you  “visit” Dodger Stadium. You’re not just fans. You’re family.

On my last trip to L.A., I went with my brothers (my actual family) on a backdoor tour of the stadium. It was being remodeled. So it was kinda like going back home to see what the folks were doing with the place.

They’ve had a pretty good year.
