Here’s a few more sketches I’ve made from faces I’ve seen. I’ve taken some from photos; some from folks sitting in front of me. These are not intentionally portraits—that is, I’m not necessarily trying for a likeness of the person. I’m just borrowing the shapes and textures of the face I’m looking at and then re-assembling them to into a different personality. Kind of like looking in a fun house mirror. Except with other people’s faces.
Sometimes, the re-assembly begins to take on a familiar appearance. Sean, is that you?
And sometimes, the face I’m looking at is so familiar it’s already a caricature of itself.
