One hundred years ago this month, the world stumbled into The Great War. It’s one of history’s great clusterfucks. And it just keeps on giving. Pay even passing attention to the news and its aftershocks can still be felt.

Anyway, I took a few old portraits from the day and digitally “re-painted” them. Just to see what they might have to say for themselves after all these years.
