Kentucky Barn Sketches

When Sandra and I first moved to South Carolina, we bought a small horse farm. She loved horses. I loved her. Fortunately for our marriage, I soon came to love horses, too. Turned out, the property we bought had a nicer barn for the horses than it did a house for us. This seemed odd to me at first. But as my love for horses grew, I grew to understand this to be only proper and sensible. I love barns, but not just for their picturesque-ness and throwback nostalgia. They are properly and sensibly designed structures for the love of horses.

Here’s a few sketches I did of barns near Lexington, KY.
